Some Oracle Database instance records associated with inventory devices may get deleted and re-created each time the inventory reconciliation writer steps are executed.
When this occurs, recurring events like the following will appear in the history of affected inventory device and associated asset records:
Created Instance : Oracle Database 11g R2 Express Oracle Database 11g R2 Express Deleted Instance : Oracle Database 11g R2 Express Oracle Database 11g R2 Express
The timestamps on the "Deleted Instance" events due to this issue are typically a few minutes before the "Created Instance" events.
Users who happen to view data from the system while the inventory reconciliatoin process is running may notice that Oracle Database instances are not reported or shown in the UI for a short period of time, before they reappear.
There is no known workaround to this behavior.
This issue has been fixed in the following FlexNet Manager Suite releases: 2022 R1.1 / May 2022 (Cloud), 2022 R2 (On Premises)
Affected components: Inventory import (read/write/export), SAM for Oracle
Master issue ID: IOJ-1858852
Also known as: FNML-74014
