Known Issue: Operating system for Solaris 11.x devices is reported as version 5.x (i.e. the release level rather than the OS version) when inventory is gathered by the FlexNet inventory agent (IOJ-2246642)
Summary
When the FlexNet inventory agent is used to gather inventory from a computer running Solaris 11.x, the version of the operating system is reported as the operating system release level (such as "5.11") rather than the operating system version (such as "11.3").
Details
Solaris operating systems have both a release level and a version. These values can be obtained by running the commands "uname -r" and "uname -v" respectively.
The agent includes the release level number as the operating system version when generating inventory instead of the version.
Fix details
The agent has been changed to report the operating system version (as per the output from running "uname -v") in the version reported in inventory.
Fix status
This issue has been fixed in the following FlexNet Manager Suite releases: 2021 R1.4 / Mar 2022 (Cloud), 2022 R1 (On Premises)
