Now supporting Utah release of ServiceNow
The latest version of ServiceNow was just released and with version 5.1.1, the Flexera Integration App for ServiceNow supports the Utah release to ensure compatibility with the latest ServiceNow updates.
Significant performance improvement for the import of data from FlexNet Manager Suite to ServiceNow
With enhancements such as the use of mutli-thread processing, the performance for the import/transform of data from FlexNet Manager Suite to ServiceNow has been significantly improved by up to 60%. Your imports can now be processed faster than ever to help keep your data current and the time spent waiting to a minimum.
Improved logging and details related to fix scripts
In this version, logging improvements have been made to show the start, end, and errors related to fix scripts in the Application Logs. This will help improve visibility and give you more insight into what’s occurring when these are ran.
New performance summary and performance metrics for FlexNet Manager Suite imports
In this version, an enhancement has been implemented to provide performance summary and metrics for the imports from FlexNet Manager Suite to ServiceNow. Now understanding the performance metrics, and any changes to them, are easier than ever with just a quick glance.
New time and volume measurements
In this version, time and volume measurements have been added to FlexNet Manager Suite transforms. More metrics, more insight to better understand and monitor the behavior of the integration.
Option to set the user for Flexera data imports
Now “Flexera Integration App for ServiceNow” administrators can optionally set the user for data imports.
Previously, records updated or created via the Flexera Integration App would use the default user as the user ID. Consequently, the Updated by, Created by, and Run as fields in the Flexera Integration App UI would display system as the user ID for those records. This is the default setting in ServiceNow, but it is not informative and could lead to confusion about what’s updating what and when. Now, you can customize the user ID to show a more meaningful user ID in the UI—for example Flexera Integration.
For instructions and a fix script that customize the user ID for data imports, see the following knowledge base article in the Flexera Community: Instructions to update the 'System' user to 'Integration' user for all the inserts/updates of records by the Flexera Scoped application".
Read access to Flexera custom tables
This version provides cross-scope read access to the following Flexera custom tables to help support business cases where that data is needed, such as for reporting or dashboarding.
Resolved Issues in 5.1.1
The following issues have been resolved in Flexera Integration app v5.1.1:
RESOLVED ISSUES |
Fixed a potential issue that might cause records to be incorrectly created in the hardware category if a certain combination of properties was selected. |
Fixed an issue that could cause imports to get stuck in the rare case where ServiceNow would skip updating the state of a record. |
Fixed an issue that might cause computers that have the same serial number to get matched to the wrong configuration item (CI). |
