The error below may occur when trying to open the Authentication Properties for the ManagesoftRL IIS site. ManagesoftRL is a site used for reporting agent inventories on both beacons and inventory servers in Flexnet Manager Suite and Flexera One ITAM.
Error: This configuration section cannot be used at this path. This happens when the section is locked at a parent level. 
This error is likely caused by your security policy settings. The error occurs when the FlexNet Manager Suite is blocked from overriding these settings.
Workaround
1. In IIS Manager, select Default Web Site under the Sites view.
2. In the Feature view, select Configuration Editor.
3. In the Section drop-down menu at the top left of the UI, select System.WebServer/Security/authentication/WindowsAuthentication.
4. Select Unlock Section and toggle the Lock Section option to lock and unlock the configuration section.
5. Repeat steps three and four for Anonymous authentication and Basic authentication. in System.WebServer/Security/authentication/.
