Summary

This article identifies an enhancement request to get the "SaveRegistry" registry key reflected in the Inventory database as a Hardware object.

Symptoms

Within FlexNet Manager Suite 2015 R2 SP3 and later, the parameter IncludeRegistryKey in the FlexNet inventory agent allows the FlexNet inventory agent to return specific registry keys. This works as expected and the FlexNet inventory agent is capable of returning custom keys from the registry.

This article identifies an enhancement request to get this reflected in the Inventory database as a Hardware object. This enhancement was raised as the storage of the registry keys as Hardware Objects in the Inventory database was clearly documented in FlexNet Manager Platform 9.2.3 but was removed from subsequent documentation.

The registry key "SaveRegistry" is stored in HKLM \SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ManageSoft Corp\ManageSoft\Common. This enhancement request asks the registry key to be changed to HKLM \SOFTWARE\ManageSoft Corp\ManageSoft\Common to align with the other FlexNet Manager Suite registry keys.
