Flexera’s content libraries consist of three data sets that populate your FlexNet Manager Suite or Flexera One environment. These libraries are the Application Recognition Library (ARL), the Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) library, and the Product Use Rights Library (PURL).

  • The ARL contains information linking installer, file, and WMI evidence to applications.
  • The SKU library contains a list of SKUs that FlexNet Manager Suite and Flexera One recognize.
  • The PURL contains information about how the SKUs can be used to create software licenses and provides the terms of use for licenses created using a SKU.

When using Flexera One, or if your FlexNet Manager Suite environment has an internet connection, your system will keep these three libraries automatically updated with a system task.

 Content library updates

You can find updates on the information included in each release and when a new release occurs in the FlexNet Manager Content Blog. These Blog posts apply to the content libraries for FlexNet Manager Suite and Flexera One ITAM.

If you are using FlexNet Manager Suite, you can download content library updates from the Flexera Product and License Center (PLC 2.0). See Accessing the Flexera product and license center for steps on how to gain access.

For instructions on downloading the content libraries, see the article How to manually download FlexNet Manager Suite On-premises content libraries
