When selecting Business Importer in the FlexNet Beacon, the error below will be displayed if the CustomDDI folder isn't in C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Beacon on the FlexNet Manager Suite application server:

No local import configuration for business imports could be found

When this occurs, the Beacon Engine Log in C:\ProgramData\FlexeraSoftware\Compliance\Logging\BeaconEngine shows the error below:

Downloading item 'business-importer-ibm-customddi' using URI 

Error downloading business adapter configuration.

Flexera.SaaS.Transport.Core.ComplianceApiFatalException: Could not download item from . Server returned 'Internal Server Error'


  1. Locate the CustomDDI folder. A copy of the CustomDDI folder is in the Master folder, located in C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Beacon\Master\DDI.

  1. Copy the CustomDDI folder to C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Beacon.
  2. Restart the beacon software on the beacon server.
