Summary

This article describes how to resolve the issue of agent doesn't refer the bootstrap file on non-Windows machine.

Synopsis

On non-Windows machine, you may see the following failure in the installation.log for the FlexNet inventory agent.

Discussion

The initial configuration of the FlexNet inventory agent can also be set for UNIX-like platforms. For UNIX and OS X, there is no sample bootstrap configuration file available through the central application server. Please prepare your customized bootstrap configuration file by following the documentation named "Gathering FlexNet Inventory". Save the file as "mgsft_rollout_response" (without ".ini") and place it under "/var/tmp".
