Receive the following error when trying to login to Cognos - Missing required credentials for authentication. Or the session might be timed out.


The IBM Cognos service seems to be up and running. But receive the following error in UI when attempting to login to Cognos at-

Testing the Authentication on the Cognos configuration page throws the following error:

Review the file in Cognos InstalltionDirectory - Program Files (x86)\ReportDesigner\c10\configuration
It should contain the path to the FNMS application server as below:

#FlexNet Authenticator settings<flexappserver>

Add the host pat and restart Cognos.
