License comsumption for Alteryx Designer

Hello.

I'm looking for some advise working with a specific license, Alteryx Designer. We have set up the license. This product does have a SKU recognized by the ARL. We have a license key and the metric is Named Uset.

Even though we have the license created and the applications are recognized, FNMS is not reflecting our license consumption. Does anybody have any hints or tips to look at to validate what could be wrong?

The help is appreciated.

(1) Solution

A "Named User" license metric implies that the entitlements are only valid for specific users.  You normally need to go to some type of publisher "portal" and register the specific users who have a valid entitlement.

Therefore, you need to get a list of those specific "named users" for Alteryx and then use a Business Adapter to allocate those users to the license.  FNMS will then calculate consumption based on the number of users that are allocated.  Similar licenses with a Named User license metric would be Microsoft MSDN subscriptions, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
