Re: Flexera Beacon Server related query
Hi,
You should fill in the networkname in the beaconengine.config. This is the name which is communicated towards all the agents in the policy files.
- Open the file BeaconEngine.config on your Beacon Server with a text editor. This is typically located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Flexera Software\Inventory Beacon\DotNet\conf.
- Modify the networkName property to use the alias or IP (which by default will use the server's current hostname if networkName is blank).
- Once the change is saved, restart the FlexNet Beacon Engine service and IIS (if the beacon uses IIS for web service) in order for the change to take effect.
Please note, the network name is available after a successful synchronization between beacon and App server
