Component vs Application

Where component is identified how does one review the parent application it is related to?   For example HCL's BigFix Server Inventory shows as "Commercial" and the associated agents show as "Component"  We have a need to identify the relationships for software vetting, decommissioning and more

The relationship between components and applications that use them is not currently modelled in the ARL or Technopedia.

This is a query that I have heard come up from time to time, so you may want to consider raising it as an Idea in Flexera Ideas (https://flexerasfdc.ideas.aha.io/ideas). This will allow others to vote on it, and help Flexera's Product Managers assess the level of interest there would be in having a curated data set showing this kind of information.

ChrisG -- My company also has this need and I've voted for this idea on the Flexera Ideas site. Looks like the idea is for FlexNet on-prem. Do you know, or do you know someone who knows,  if the ability to report the relationship of software components to parent applications exists in the Flexera One IT Asset Management SaaS offering?

Flexera One ITAM does not provide any additional capabilities in this area beyond what can be done with FlexNet Manager Suite.
