Clarification on old post https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Knowledge-Base/The-request-was-aborted-Could-not-create-SSL-TLS-secure-channel/ta-p/192083

Hi Team,

I would like to check on cipher setting that need to be enabled on the Beacon inorder to have the connection from Beacon server to the App/Batch server successful without TLS issues.

I got some updates in the below mentioned post but there is a question from our infra team further on the same point if other ciphers can be enabled for future purpose or the Cipher which is asked to be enabled is the only cipher to be enabled on the server.

Please help me in understanding it, couldnt comment on the old post as it is closed.

The article you've referenced is primarily focused on communications from beacons to the Flexera One ITAM infrastructure.

Your question here is about a beacon connecting to an app/batch server, which would be related to FlexNet Manager Suite (on-premises). In that case, I expect you can have whatever cipher(s) configured that you want, as long as both ends (the beacon and the app/batch server) share at least one common cipher they can use.
