Title: How to run XSF scan files in Normalize and view the Normalized data

Introduction: To do this you will need the scan file in an input folder on your machine and as a minimum you will need an 'Exceptions' folder

Instructions:
• From the Admin Console click 'Create Process' and select 'IT Discovery Tool' and then select 'HP Universal Discovery (XSF)

 • Next, enter the file path for the input folder you have created and test the connection

  • Then, you can select the rule for what you want to happen to the XSF scan file(s) you are Normalizing.
  • - For 'Update' this will update the scan file and create a post-Normalize scan file in the file path you choose.
  • - For 'Move' this will move the scan file to a new folder in the file path you have specified after Normalizing
  • - For 'Delete' this will delete the scan file from the input folder
  • - For 'None' this will not delete the scan file or update it, to see the post-Normalize data with this option you can look in the BDNA_PUBLISH database

 Once you click 'Next' you can name the Normalize job and save the settings then execute the Normalize
