We are delighted to announce the general availability of App Portal / App Broker 2023 R2 release.
App Portal / App Broker 2023 R2 includes the following features and improvements.
Intune Microsoft Store app (new) support
We have added support for Microsoft Store app (new) for deploying software to Windows devices using Microsoft Intune - a unified endpoint management tool along with support for Microsoft 365 App, Microsoft Windows (Win32) Apps and Windows Line of Business Apps (.msi and .msix) app type respectively.
The existing ServiceNow integration capabilities also provide support for the Microsoft Store app (new) also.
Fulfill deployment on Windows 11 via Intune
As part of this release, we support the fulfillment of Intune app types on Windows 11 via Intune along with support for Windows 10. Enabling our customers to provide support for Windows 11 client devices.
Support Jamf Cloud integration
We have added the new capability to integrate with Jamf Cloud to assist with the management of Apple Mac request life cycle, along with the ability to integrate with Jamf Pro to manage the deployments to those devices.
New Advanced Search Capabilities
We have improvised the Basic search capability to browse the catalog items in App Portal to support the Advanced search capabilities, which will greatly benefit in terms of refined search results, search guidance to the end user to make appropriate choice, fuzzy logic in the background to take care of typos in search text and search history to help the end user to make the appropriate choice for searching.
Enhanced User Experience in Question screen
As part of the ask from Flexera Ideas from customers, we have enhanced the ‘Questions’ user experience for better usability of the Questionnaire feature during checkout.
We have also introduced better navigation controls along with new guidance relating to mandatory questions.
Support for ServiceNow Vancouver
This release also includes the support for the newer Vancouver version of ServiceNow.
Removed support for Microsoft Store for Business App
Microsoft have announced plans to discontinue the support for Microsoft Store for Business App type and are recommending that all new and existing customers now use Microsoft Store app (new) type.
In line with these changes, and as part of our continued commitment to support key vendors such as Microsoft, we have removed the support for Microsoft Store for Business App and added for Microsoft Store app (new) type respectively.
Removed support for Flexera Authentication Gateway Service (AGW)
Flexera has discontinued the support for Flexera Authentication Gateway Service for FlexNet Manager Suite or Flexera One IT Asset Management, replacing it with Flexera Identity and Access Management (Flexera IAM) authentication.
In line with these changes, customers can now leverage the Flexera IAM authentication to connect the FlexNet Manager Suite or Flexera One IT Asset Management to processes the license governance use cases in App Portal / App Broker.
