Users prompted for sign-in

Today I've had a few users contact me because they are being prompted to sign into App Portal.  One of the other admins is being prompted when she adds an image to a catalog item and users are prompted to sign in when approving requests.

I've checked the settings and Anonymous is disabled, Windows Authentication enabled.  All other settings seem intact as well except for Default Web Sit - Configuration Editor, system.web.server/security/authentication/windowsAuthentication setting 'enabled' is 'true' and the ESD web site has 'false' for this setting.  I'm trying to determine if that would cause the issue of being prompted.  Should the Default Web Site be set to 'true'.  Screenshot attached.

I finally got a reply from our network team.  We have an F5 VIP in front of AppPortal that handles the certs for https - the primary data center had a memory leak so the F5 failed over to the secondary data center.  Once it was complete users were good and no prompting.

The only thing that comes to mind is if the user were accessing the site using a FQDN. IE used to prompt for credentials if using a FQDN in the URL as it would think that App Broker was in the internet zone. If this is consistent, and if the user is using IE, you might try having them add the App Broker site to the list of trusted sites, or the intranet zone in IE.
