As part of our ongoing efforts to improve catalog consistency, software recognition, and data alignment across Flexera solutions, customers may notice an increased number of new products, releases, versions, and editions being added to Technopedia over time.

This post serves as a detailed communication regarding these catalog enhancements and what customers can expect.

What Changes Will Customers See?

Customers may observe:

• New releases being added to existing products
• Missing versions and/or editions being introduced
• Products that previously existed in other catalog sources being added to Technopedia
• Older or out-of-support releases being added to improve catalog completeness and historical software recognition

These additions are intended to improve catalog coverage, consistency, and recognition accuracy across the Flexera platform.

Why Are These Changes Being Made?

Historically, there have been cases where:

• Certain products or releases existed in one catalog source but were not represented in Technopedia
• Specific versions or editions were missing
• Historical releases were needed to support software recognition and catalog consistency

To address these gaps, we are continuously enhancing Technopedia by adding products, releases, versions, and editions where necessary.

These enhancements support our long-term data alignment and catalog modernization efforts, helping deliver a more consistent catalog experience across Flexera solutions.

Lifecycle Dates May Be Added Later

When new releases are introduced, customers may occasionally notice that lifecycle information is not immediately available.

Core metadata such as Categories, Edition order, Support policies are populated during release creation. Lifecycle dates may be added at a later stage as part of our normal catalog maintenance processes.

What This Means for Customers

Customers may continue to see new releases being added to Technopedia as part of both ongoing catalog enhancement activities and regular catalog maintenance.

In most cases, these changes will not require any action from customers. The primary purpose of these additions is to improve catalog completeness, reduce alignment gaps, and improve software recognition outcomes across Flexera solutions.

This article provides a general overview of ongoing catalog enhancements and alignment activities. For larger catalog changes that may have broader customer impact such as significant product family updates, naming standard changes, operating system catalog enhancements, or the introduction of new catalog constructs, we will continue to publish separate, dedicated communications.
