Snow Inventory Agent deployment on Azure via "VM Applications"

Microsoft offers on Azure to deploy up to 25 applications on customers VM via so-call "VM Applications".

Quote: VM Applications are a resource type in Azure Compute Gallery (formerly known as Shared Image Gallery) that simplifies management, sharing, and global distribution of applications for your virtual machines.

It requires some efford to create the package, but it would allow us to install or updated the SIA via policy at any time, even on "self-managed" machines.

Does anyone has experience with this technique?

Or already uses MS VM apps?

Do you have had any observations with VM apps?

Please share.

Best wishes, Björn

    Hi Björn

Apologies that you have not had any feedback with regards to your question, the best thing would be to raise this in the support portal (https://community.flexera.com/s/support-hub), explain your issue and then they can escalate to the right team who can answer your question.

If however, this is something that we don't currently do, it might be worth adding it to the New Ideas board (https://ideas.snowsoftware.com/) such that this could be something that we can do for you and/or anyone in the future.

    Kind Regards
