SNOW Update Service Stopped!
Dear All, SNOW Update Service in the Inventory server was Stopped since months ago, the last log file is from 22-05-2019 below is a part of it. It is properly working on the Application Server and receiving updates. When I try to run the SnowSoftware.Update.Gui an error message saying that the application has stopped working and the Problem Event Name is "APPCRACH". I tried to start the service from the Task Manager but without success. I checked the network connectivity and the firewall by entering https://updates.snowsoftware.com/  and I get the message below: Could any one please advice?     • Hello, I had already tried that and it is working pretty fine...
      • it sounds like an issue with the service itself..... do you use a proxy? We've seen customers with SIM issues where the service needs to have the correct proxy bypass rights to work correctly? And I'm sorry to ask... but have you tried a reboot?
        • Hello, I'm not using any proxy. And regarding the question which seems to be similar as mine, as I understood it had been solved after whitelisting the server for the internet access. Ofcourse I rebooted the server several times.. Regards, Houda
          • Hi Houda Sorry, wasn't trying to team you to suck eggs with the reboot thing. Yes if it isn't linked to whitelisting then I suggest logging a ticket with SNOW support and attach the logs so that they can investigate....
