SUMMARY OF CHANGE

Microsoft uses the OneDrive Sync version as the common version identifier for both personal and business/enterprise OneDrive applications. Refer to Microsoft OneDrive Sync Release Notes.

To align with Microsoft and ensure consistent recognition of OneDrive release footprints, Flexera Technopedia will retain a single product - OneDrive (PID 179171983) going forward. All releases currently associated with OneDrive Business (PID: 173698593) and OneDrive Online for 365 (PID: 1809160544) will be consolidated under this product. The two legacy products will then be removed from Technopedia.

DETAILS OF CHANGE

• The existing OneDrive Business product (PID: 173698593) and OneDrive Online for 365 products (PID: 1809160544) will be removed from Technopedia. All associated releases will be migrated to the existing OneDrive product (PID: 179171983).
• Existing Add/Remove data (installer evidence) and Executable data (file evidence) will be moved to the new OneDrive product (PID: 179171983). Mobile, Personal, and Business-related evidence will continue to be recognized consistently.
• Going forward, OneDrive mobile application versions will also be captured under the OneDrive product (PID: 179171983).

CUSTOMER IMPACT

Lineage impact:

• This update consolidates OneDrive Personal and OneDrive Business into a single product; this change does not qualify for lineage; therefore, no lineage entry is expected.
• Existing lineage for OneDrive Business (PID: 173698593) from Microsoft SkyDrive Pro for Business will be dropped, as the product is being updated.

Release and recognition updates: New releases will be added to the OneDrive product (PID: 179171983), and evidence recognition will be updated for existing OneDrive Business-related evidence.

Supporting comparison: The attachment below provides before-and-after views of the catalog changes and application-recognition data.

RECOMMENDED CUSTOMER ACTION

• Customers need not take any specific steps to see this change. The respective mapping will be updated once the change process is completed.
