Adobe Creative Cloud Single App License Use Rights Refresh and Application Alignment Update

Overview

Flexera is updating Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) Single App license use rights and entitlement mappings to align with Adobe's current licensing structure and supported Single App product portfolio. Adobe has discontinued, retired, or no longer supports several applications that were historically associated with Creative Cloud Single App entitlements. Flexera is refreshing its content to reflect Adobe's current licensing model and supported offerings.

Why are these updates being made ?

To ensure accurate license consumption, entitlement mappings, compliance calculations, and licensing recommendations and our data is aligned with vendor literature and current support models.

Adobe Creative Cloud Single App subscriptions are intended to license a single eligible Creative Cloud application from Adobe's supported Single App product lineup. As Adobe has evolved its product portfolio, several applications have been retired, discontinued, or are no longer available as eligible standalone Single App subscriptions.

What is changing?

The following applications will be removed from Adobe CC Single App license use rights because they are no longer supported, discontinued by Adobe, or are not eligible standalone Adobe Creative Cloud Single App subscriptions:

  • Adobe Aero - End of support announced by Adobe
  • Adobe Fireworks - Discontinued by Adobe
  • Adobe Flash Builder - Discontinued by Adobe
  • Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 Premium - Discontinued by Adobe
  • Adobe Muse - Discontinued by Adobe
  • Adobe Prelude - Discontinued by Adobe
  • Adobe Scout - Discontinued by Adobe
  • Adobe Story - Discontinued by Adobe
  • Adobe Media Encoder - Not licensed as a standalone Adobe CC Single App offering and available only as a companion application

Customer Impact & Recommended Actions

As a result:

  • License consumption calculations may change.
  • Compliance positions may be recalculated.
  • Recommended License Changes (RLCs) may be generated.
  • Previously mapped consumption for the removed applications may no longer be covered by Adobe CC Single App license rights.

After the update is released, customers should:

  1. Review any Recommended License Changes (RLCs) generated for Adobe Creative Cloud Single App licenses.
  2. Identify installations of the affected applications within their environment.
  3. Validate entitlement coverage against their Adobe subscription agreements and license documentation.
  4. Update license allocations or remediation plans as appropriate for their licensing position.

Customers who do not use any of the affected applications are not expected to require any action.
