How to perform a key swap for Snow License Manager and Snow Inventory

Environment
“ Snow License Manager 8/9 (SLM)
“ Snow Application server - Web Configurator
“ Snow Inventory - 5/6
“ Snow Inventory Server (If component is ran from a separate server)

Resolution
SNOW LICENSE MANAGER
Log into the Snow License Manager Application Server to where the Snow License Manager Web page is ran from.
Open the Web Configurator tool as Administrator and navigate to the License tab.
Log into the Snow License Manager Application Server to where the Snow License Manager Web page is ran from.
Open the Web Configurator tool as Administrator and navigate to the License tab.
Update License Key with Snow License Manager Key
Once the key is entered, select the activate button and follow the on screen prompts.
If you require a Hardware activation key because the server does not have access to the internet then please contact Support and provide the License Key and Hardware ID.
SNOW INVENTORY
- Log into the Snow Inventory Server
- Navigate to the following location :\Program Files\Snow Software\Snow Inventory\Server (This will differ depending on what HDD the solution has been installed to, most commonly is C: or D:).
- Once you have navigated to the path above, open the snowserver.config file:
- Input your new license key in between the LicenseKey tags.
- Once complete save the file (Please note you may need to save the file to the server desktop and then copy it back into :\Program Files\Snow Software\Snow Inventory\Server)
- Once the file has been saved successfully, you will need to restart the Snow Inventory 5 Server Service for the change to be applied to the solution.
- Once all the above has completed the key swap has been completed.
