FAQ: How does the Application manufacturers option work in SMACC?

In Snow Management and Configuration Center and in the Software recognition category, there is an option called Application manufacturers. Here the user will be presented with all the manufacturers that are available.

Manufacturers of global applications are automatically added to the list via the SRS, while manufacturers of local applications need to be added manually.

To add a manufacturer:

1. Click Add Manufacturer.
   The New Manufacturer dialog box appears.
2. Type the Name of the manufacturer, and a Friendly Name which will be displayed in SLM.
   These names are often identical.
3. Optionally, type a link to the Web Site of the manufacturer.
4. Click OK to save the new manufacturer and close the New Manufacturer dialog box.
   The new manufacturer appears in the Manufacturers list, and will be available for selection when creating new or editing existing applications.
