Fix “invalid pod code” error during FDP bootstrap
You may encounter an “Invalid Pod Code” error when initiating the FDP bootstrap process. This typically occurs when the assessment used to generate the bootstrap code has expired. Assessments are valid for a limited time, and bootstrap codes will not work once that period has passed.
- Verify the assessment is still valid
The bootstrap process must be completed within 7 days of creating the assessment.
-
- If the assessment has expired, create a new one using your existing subscription code
- A new assessment provides:
- Fresh downloads for both the RN150 and FlexDeploy Pod
- New bootstrap codes
- Deploy components in the correct order
Ensure the FlexDeploy Pod is deployed before the RN150.
-
- If RN150 has already been deployed, restart the deployment after the FlexDeploy Pod is ready
- Apply the new bootstrap code
When entering the bootstrap code on the appliance:
-
- Use copy and paste instead of manual entry
- Check for extra spaces or missing characters
After completing these steps, the bootstrap process should succeed, allowing proper deployment of both the FlexDeploy Pod and RN150.
