SVM On-prem R1 v7.6.1.24 is now available for download. This new version of the on-prem edition is compatible with the latest version of the Patch Publisher v7.10.912. All the recent updates made to the SVM Cloud and Patch Publisher will now be available to our SVM on-prem customers through this update. Some important updates include:

Publish Mac Packages to Microsoft Intune

This update introduces the support for enabling patching of your Mac devices with Intune. This beta version allows you to publish.PKG format of Mac packages in the Vendor Patch Module view of the Patch Publisher to Microsoft Intune. This is the first of many enhancements planned for supporting Mac patching in SVM.

Updated Process for Software Suggestions

As part of our continuous efforts to enhance response times and deliver greater value for your investment, we have recently introduced a new backend process to manage incoming software suggestions. This process is part of the ongoing improvements we have been making to the software suggestion functionality over the past few quarters. With the new process in place, we can more efficiently track and manage software requests. Looking ahead, we plan to leverage this progress by providing estimated response times based on actual activity and backlog load, which will help set realistic expectations for software suggestions going forward.

As a reminder, software suggestion guidelines may be found here.

Add Multiple Email Addresses While Suggesting Software

When suggesting software to be added to SVM, you can now add multiple email addresses to include additional team members in the request. Once the request is submitted, an email confirmation will be sent to all specified email addresses. This can improve internal communication by minimizing the need for individual updates to other stakeholders regarding the status of the software suggestion request.

Removal of RSAT dependency from Patch Publisher

To simplify the installation process of Patch Publisher, the requirement of having Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) already installed or enabled on a machine has been eliminated. RSAT will only need to be installed when setting up a connection to Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) within Patch Publisher.

This version also includes several enhancements to the Flexera Package System (SPS) and Vendor Patch Module views and the Create Update Package Wizard in the Patch Publisher.
