Summary
Why Secunia Advisory has Unpatched status even vendor has provided the solution.
Synopsis
In general, for Secunia advisories we refer to a "Vendor Patch" status if there is a direct offered solution within the very same product branch (version) that is available for a customer (without any additional manual steps beyond applying an update).
For example :
In this case "Adobe Flash Player versions 24.0.0.221 and prior" are reported as affected, but the solution offered by the vendor is the version 25.0.0.127. The version 25.0.0.127 is considered an "Upgrade" in the 24.x context (and not and "Update") as the customer has to move from the "Adobe Flash Player 24.x" product on to the next one, namely "Adobe Flash Player 25.x", to get this resolved. Therefore said Secunia advisory is marked "Unpatched" in the 24.x context.
