SVM Password Recovery Setup configuration
This article shows how to configure quickly the password recovery settings for your Software Vulnerability Manager account. Unless it is a test sub-account, Flexera recommends this configuration to be done as early as possible in the process for the main root and administrator accounts at minimum.
Flexera can only reset one account - the root, and only if it is on the SVM Cloud edition.
Flexera cannot help with password resets on sub-accounts or any other than the primary root.
Such resets shall be made by the primary root account, or through configured Password Recovery.
It is important to note that that this is only for the Root Administrator account.
All other SVM User passwords are managed by the Root Administrator.
These steps need to be taken ahead of time in order to recover the Root Administrator's password.
Under Configuration, the Password Recovery Settings need to filled out for both:

Then click "Send Verification Codes". The verification code will be received in two separate messages ? one SMS on your mobile phone and the second via an email message. Once this has been verified, you will be able to get the password reset without having to contact Technical Support.
If the Root Administrator password needs to be recovered and this has not been set up yet, please open a Support Case and Technical Support will have to generate a temporary password for you. Please be sure to set up the Password Recovery Settings once you have logged back in.
