Flexera has released an update to the Cloud Cost Optimation solution which allows the Budget Manager to create a budget with the specific cloud spend they want to track with their budget. In this update, the Budget Manager can use the new Budget Filters to include or exclude the spend specific to their budget. Previously, this feature was only available via the API. This update allows the creation of budget filters when defining the Budget in the Flexera One UI.
Example use cases:
- Include spend for specific cloud vendors of cloud accounts
- Include spend for specific teams, applications, cost centers or environments using custom dimensions
- Exclude spend such as tax, credits, market place or support charges
