Jump to solution

I'm seeing the following in a lmadmin log file:

EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 51 Exit reason 28

Where can I find a list of of all of these signals and their reasons and the meaning behind the messages?

The signals are not documented, they are actually coming from the OS rather than FNP. Are there any other messages in the log prior to this message?

This is what I am seeing:

22:45:18 (geoslope) Lost communications with lmgrd.
Socket disconnected by remote.
Exiting.
22:45:18 (geoslope) EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 28 Exit reason 5

The line that is meaningful here is the following: 22:49:12 (geoslope) The HOSTID on the SERVER line needs the server to run in a supported virtual environment What environment are you running the lic server on? What hostid is the server tied to?

The environment is VMware.  I'll ask the client what the exact version, etc. are.  We have the license bound to the following host ID:

VM_UUID=FAF31A42-1D4D-2D69-53B7-A2B975363EE7

From the report I have, that appears to be correct.
