New Release

The June release of FlexNet Manager Suite for cloud customers is about to land. It will be uploaded to our User Acceptance Test (UAT) environment between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning (7-8 June, 2019). It will then be rolling into production in the following week. You can view details on these upgrade times from the Flexera System Status Dashboard.

This release includes the following features:

Evidence visibility enables resolution of application recognition issues

Investigating and resolving application recognition issues is easier than ever thanks to the new Evidence tab which lists the evidence discovered for a selected inventory device. Now when you see a listing for an application which you don't think is installed or if you can't find an application which you know is installed, you can view the evidence used to recognize the applications on that device. Using this new evidence view enables you to identify and then determine the best way to resolve any discrepancies.

Targeted FlexNet Inventory Agent upgrades

A new Upgrade mode option has been added to the Inventory agent for automatic deployment section of the Inventory Settings page. This new option “Upgrade selected platforms in the selected targets” lets you choose one of the versions of FlexNet inventory agent available from the application server, and specify any combination of the supported platforms along with selected targets (subset of devices) that should self-update to your selected FlexNet inventory agent version.

Support for XenApp and XenApp Desktop Application Groups and user filters

Collection of Application Group data from XenApp Server and XenApp Desktop is now supported for XenApp and XenDesktop versions 7.9 and later. These Application Groups enable you manage collections of applications. Being able to categorize applications into collections permits some settings to be administered for all applications in a group.

You can learn more about these updates, along with other changes by referring to the Features by Release document in HelpNet.

If you are using the on-premise edition of FlexNet Manager Suite, note that these updates are under consideration for inclusion in the next release.
