Summary

When running a Repair or Modify of the Inventory Beacon Installer, if you change the Server or Suite Path entries on the Reporting Endpoint dialog, the required registry changes aren't made and you need to set them manually.

Symptoms

When running a Repair or Modify of the Inventory Beacon Installer, if you change the Server or Suite Path entries on the Reporting Endpoint page, the required registry changes aren't made and you need to set them manually.

If you attempt to Download and Import the Beacon configuration, you will receive an error stating that it has failed to find a valid URL for the FNMP server.

Cause

This is a bug in the Beacon Installer.

Steps To Reproduce

Run a Repair or Modify and change the settings on the Reporting Endpoint page. The changes will not be saved.

Resolution

Please modify the following registry setting with the appropriate URL:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ManageSoft Corp\ManageSoft\Beacon\CurrentVersion\FNMPWEBUIURL

Typically, the URL will be something like:

http://<hostName>/Suite
