  1. Invoke IBM Cognos Configuration by running the "<Report Designer installed directory>\c10\bin\fnhccfg.bat"
  2. Stop the IBM Cognos service
  3. Run SQL Server Management Studio
  4. Drop the ContentStore database
  5. Recreate the ContentStore database
  6. Grant the service account used by IBM Cognos db_owner rights to the ContentStore database
  7. Back in the IBM Cognos Configuration UI, start the IBM Cognos service
