"Bootstrap Server 1" Registry Entry After The Original Bootstrap Beacon is Retired - Does It Need to be Updated?

Hi all ...

Several months ago, I deployed the Inventory Agent to many devices through SCCM, and specified the bootstrap beacon in the mgssetup.ini file.

My bootstrap beacon is soon to be retired and replaced with a new Windows Server 2019 server (the old one is a Windows 2012 R2 server).

All of the devices that received the Inventory Agent reference the original bootstrap beacon in the DownloadSettings tree in the registry.  For example:

Do I have to push a registry change that modifies the "Host" entry under "Bootstrap Server 1" to now list the replacement beacon, or is that entry a "one time use" entry that isn't used after the initial installation?

As long as one of the other beacons in the registry is correct then you do not need to update the bootstrap.

Yes, my other Inventory Beacons are valid.  Thank you!
