need help with GPO based install of "FlexNet Inventory Agent.msi"

I have placed these three files in \\domain.suffix\NETLOGON

file 1) FlexNet Inventory Agent.msi

file 2) Data1.cab

file 3) mgssetup.ini

and configured a GPO, using Policies / Software Settings / Software installation, but the software will not install.

I've looked in the manual, couldn't find anything specific.  Tried setup.exe /a /s /v /qn but that fails with a "failed reading ini file". 

Does anyone have an actual worked procedure for this agent, please?

Try looking for a log from the attempt to install the MSI file; it will likely give an indication of what went wrong (assuming the GPO software installation process gets as far as invoking msiexec).

(I'd generally recommend installing the MSI directly - the setup.exe is rarely useful.)
