Several of our customers pull infrastructure licenses directly read from vCenter. The biggest challenge related to the fact that the licenses were allocated from the VMware Portal. We found a lot of “inconsistencies” between what was recorded in the portal (therefore what VMware knew and what was actually deployed). Does Flexera or anyone have any specific guidance on any of these licenses? From an infrastructure perspective like I said you need to collect from the vCenters, we have to make that connection to associate a physical device with a virtual server. Do we automatically pull the VDI license information when we connect to VMware Horizon? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
