FNMS unable to recognise IBM InfoSphere Data Replication

Hello all,

Has anyone encountered whereby IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (11.4 or lower versions installed) is installed on the server itself, but the installation is not detected by FNMS.

File Evidence scanning is enabled and IBM Inventory scanning is enabled (every 30 minutes), why is this application is not being detected?

We have other applications which uses .swidtag file extension as recognition, and are being detected.

If you go to the Evidence tab of a server where this product is installed and go to the File Evidence, do you see any "swidtag" files being captured and are they recognized?

@sohbinong - If you go to the All Applications view and search for "InfoSphere Data Replication", if you go into the details for "InfoSphere Data Replication 11.3" or version 11.4, there are SWIDTAG files linked to these application that the ARL is using to recognize the installation, such as ibm.com_IBM_InfoSphere_Data_Replication-11.4.%.swidtag

If you are not seeing a tag file being captured for InfoSphere Data Replication, then it is possible that:
1) In your organization, the installation package has been customized so that a software tab is not being created during the installation
2) The software tag exists in a folder that the agent is not scanning, based on what you have provided to the agent in a Policy to define what folders to Include and/or Exclude during the scan for File Evidence

1) The "SWIDTAG" for InfoSphere Data Replication is in a folder that the agent is not scanning.  In this case, you need to review what folders are defined for the agent to Include and/or Exclude.

2) The actual installation of InfoSphere Data Replication does not create its own SWIDTAG.  In that case, you may need to look for alternate ways of identifying that specific application, such as looking for a specific executable in a specific folder.

hi @kclausen , yes, on the same servers, we can see other "swidtag" tags being captured, and they are recognised, for example: ibm.com_IBM_DB2_Advanced_Enterprise_Server_Edition_PVU_Option-11.1.0.swidtag

So am wondering what coud be the issue, as the install count of IBM InfoSphere Data Replication (11.4 or lower versions installed) is not recognised at all.
