Can Flexera provide any documentation on the performance impact of running the SCCM reader? Our SCCM team is hesitant to give us access until we can give them an idea of what the performance looks like.
From my experience, there are just too many factors in this, to provide any useful prediction on SCCM performance. Here are some:
Number of devices managed by SCCM
Specific features enabled in SCCM, like usage metering
Storage speed (for the SCCM DB)
Compute power (DBMS)
Network speed
Customers, who are concerned with potential performance impacts on their production environment, usually just provide a daily copy of the SCCM DB to import from.
