What's new in this release
       Changes to note: 

  • As part of the deletion of applications, we deleted 8,739 applications from ARL
  • Interim mitigation for data collection issues on large Oracle E-Business Suite instances.
  • Enhances installation detection for Oracle Fusion Middleware applications, particularly: Oracle Coherence Standard Edition.

  • As VMware has introduced new license model changes, new offerings will solely be available as "subscription" or as "term" licenses following the end of the sale of perpetual licenses and Support and Subscription (SnS) renewals. 

    1. Perpetual supports per CPU license - each per-processor license, will cover CPUs with up to 32 physical cores.
    2. Subscription supports per-core license - the physical processor must be licensed with a minimum of 16 core licenses for each per-core license.

    We had originally introduced VMware's core points for calculations involving a single CPU, but we have realized the customers need rules to manage many processors. As a result, more VMware core points rules for up to 10 processors were released in ARL build 2792. And continuing to support more processors, the "VMware Core Points" rule has been expanded to 16 processors in the current release.

 Updating library data

FlexNet Manager Cloud: These updates will be installed before Monday, April  22nd, 2024.

FlexNet Manager On-premises: This library release will be applied to your FlexNet Manager according to schedule settings and processes configured for your instance. If your environment requires you to manually download and update library data, see the following article for guidance: Downloading the FlexNet Manager Suite Content libraries manually.

You can inspect the versions of currently installed libraries using the system Menu > System Health > System Health Dashboard menu option in FlexNet Manager.

Upcoming ARL and Service Life Data Pack updates: We nominally expect the next ARL and Service Life Data Pack updates to be published on or around Friday, April 26th, 2024
