FlexNet Manager Platform / Suite – SKU, PURL & Bundle updates (Release #520)

The SKU, Product Use Rights Libraries (PURL) and Bundles libraries, used by FlexNet Manager Suite have been updated. For on premise customers the SKU/PURL/Bundles libraries have been published and are now available.

Customers of FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud will have this update applied by the Recognition Data Import task and was available on Monday, May 01st 2023 in your time zone.

What's new in this release?

  • 2,194 new SKUs have been added to the SKU library. The following table provides an overview of the number of SKUs with respect to publisher:

  • 1,069 SKUs are mapped to its respective applications.

  • Two new bundles released –
    • IBM Robotic Process Automation Attended Bot Agent 23.0
    • IBM Robotic Process Automation Unattended Bot Agent 23.0

  • Oracle Bundle ‘Oracle Internet Application Server Enterprise Edition’ has been refreshed with applications and SKUs. 

  • Bundle ‘Toad for oracle DBA Suite RAC’ has been mapped to new SKUs.

  • Bundle ‘IBM Cloud Pak for Integration’ has been updated from 2020.3 version to the latest version 2022.4. Few previously missing apps have been added and SKUs have been linked.
  • 130+ IBM bundles are updated with mapping the previously missing applications and made consistent with latest LID/Terms.

  • The below 10 bundles have been updated by adding the previously missing primary application and also updated the SKU-ARL mapping with the same

  • SAP PURL has been updated to fix the previous release issue where the incorrect formula impacted the license reconcile. All the impacted measurement IDs have been fixed.

  • IBM RVU (Resource Value Unit) licensing templates have been updated to match its publisher documents.
    • 425 SKUs mapped to its refreshed RVU templates.
  • Library information are as follows:
    • Total number of SKUs in the library is 2,029,527 across 1,498 publishers.
    • Total number of PURL templates is 4,536 across 49 publishers.
    • Total number of published Bundles is 4,459 across 21 publishers.


How can I verify that my SKU Library has been updated?

You can inspect the changed data in the SKU Library with the SKU Library Update Report. If you do not already have a copy of this report installed, you can obtain the latest version of the report (and installation instructions) from Flexera Software knowledge base article M100955 available from the Flexera Software Knowledge Center at https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Knowledge-Base/SKU-Library-Update-Report/ta-p/5900

How do I report issues with SKU Library updates?

We expect the next update to the PURL & SKU Library to be available on Friday, May 26th 2023. The libraries are available as soon as published and are updated daily via the Recognition Data Import task, or as otherwise reflected in your local configuration. Customers of FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud will have this update applied by Monday, May 29th 2023 in your time zone.

Downloading the SKU/PURL Libraries Manually

The SKU/PURL library updates can be downloaded from the Flexera Product and Licensing Center (PLC 2.0).
