Happy Wednesday Flexera Community!

We are excited to announce a new change coming to the Flexera Community; Starting 1 March 2022, threads with no activity in the community in over 90 days, will be automatically locked from further discussion.

When are you making this change?

This feature will be introduced to the Flexera Community on 1 March 2022.

Why are you making this change?

Flexera's software and offerings are constantly evolving, subsequently so are the solutions to your questions or problems. We have made the decision to lock threads with no activity in 90 days to keep things fresh and relevant in the Flexera Community!

How does it work?

Let's say a thread was started on 1 January 2021, it gets a few replies on the subsequent days following the original posting date but the activity stops on 17 January 2021; That thread will automatically lock on 17 April 2021, unless the thread gets activity in that 90-day window, then the clock will reset and the thread will get locked on 90th day of no activity.

How will I know if a thread is locked?

Threads that are locked will display this banner.

Are there exceptions?

Absolutely! If there is a thread we expect to be active even after some downtime, we can either unlock it or prevent it from being auto-locked. If you see a thread you think should be considered for an exception to auto-lock, please private message @AustinG

I have more questions you didn't answer.
