After installing AdminStudio 2014, Certain Licenses are Missing Some of the Distribution Plugin Options and Existing SCCM Connections No Longer Work
SummarySCCM plugin not available after activation of AdminStudio 2014
SymptomsAfter installing and activating AdminStudio 2014, certain license versions were missing common distribution plugin options, like SCCM, in the Application Manager > Options > Server Options > Distribution System > Deployment Type. Even existing SCCM connections were failing with a SCCM plugin not found error.
CauseThe behavior was due to a bug introduced with AdminStudio 2014, which prevented certain licenses from accessing the different distribution plugins. The issue is tracked internally under the work order IOJ-1664080 and the hotfix will be included in new installer that will be available in the Product and License Center.
ResolutionA hotfix has been issued to address the issue. Please follow the steps below to apply the hotfix:
1: Download the attached zip file ? ?AdminStudioLicensing.zip?
2: Shutdown AdminStudio, all of the tools, and check the system tray to ensure the AdminStudiohost process is not running. If it is running, then stop the process.
3: Create a backup of the existing ?AdminStudio.ApplicationFramework.Licensing.dll? located by default in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\AdminStudio\2014\ConflictSolver' by moving this to a different location outside of the AdminStudio install.
4: Extract the ?AdminStudio.ApplicationFramework.Licensing.dll? from the zip file and copy it to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\AdminStudio\2014\ConflictSolver'
5: Restart AdminStudio and you should have access to all the distribution plugins available for your license.
