Search the community for this guide - Data Platform 5.x Mashup Tutorial - It provides more information on the mashup process.
There are specific attributes you can key on listed in the guide such as hostname, domain\\hostname, IP address or serial number. You cannot make up your own identifier and the attribute has to have been imported with the discovery/inventory data.
I believe the mashup feature does not provide the option to have multiple values for a single column as in your database instance use case but it is worth testing

At present a user is required to generate the csv export within the UI of IT Visibility. In the future (I can provide no expectations in terms of timeline) we expect to provide this functionality via API. Once available I believe the Flexera One automation engine will be able to provide a framework to automate this process further.

There is currently no supported Data Platform API to export normalised data and therefore many customers use a database connection to query and export data from the BDNA_PUBLISH database. The database structure is cautiously managed due to this popular method of integrating data into downstream applications.

I do not know who completed your install but someone will have installed the application server you use to access the Data Platform website. This is linked to a SQL Server instance which will be hosting two databases (BDNA and BDNA_PUBLISH). You will need the database admin to grant you read access to the BDNA_PUBLISH database

Yes... you can select export results to a csv file which can be loaded into either excel or power bi
Or you can use a sql database connection to import the BDNA_PUBLISH database into PowerBI. There are a number of FACT tables and DIM tables which can be easily loaded into PBI for reporting. There is also a published ERD on the support site which describes BDNA_PUBLISH tables
