BatchProcessTaskConsole.exe fail-task ID does not work. You need to use -m as well for Ex: BatchProcessTaskConsole.exe fail-task -m 349088fb-14b7-439e-9215-23b351dc73bc This is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation everywhere it's just "fail-task ID ". Took me a while to figure it out.

Please make sure to vote on the addition of Intune as discovery/inventory source, i.e. vote on Ability to Inventory Microsoft Intune (although it's for Flexera One) if you haven't already.

@Ronny_OO7 - Yes, Users work differently than Inventory Devices. If you truly want FNMS to delete a "user", then that user must be deleted from every inventory source that it appears (such as SCCM).
Your other option (similar to an Inventory Device), is to change the status of the User within FNMS to a status of "Inactive". Inactive users do not consume against a user-based license, even if they are allocated.

When we did the auto-upgrade on the agents in January the upgrade broke our agents. It went through an uninstall, removed some registry keys that it shouldn't have, and couldn't install the new agent. This is a known bug. And just when we thought the auto-upgrade was working smoothly. We have a case open now with support. Really frustrating that Flexera keeps breaking something that works.

If the network allows a connection from the beacon server to the LDAP Server (domain controller) and you have a service account in the domain, there are two options: a) Data collection: Active Directory b) Data collection: Business Importer - Template: User - Type: Directory Service - Login, Password, LDAP Path and you can use filter, e.g. (&(ObjectCategory=Person)(c=GI)) --> You can use option b) when the template provide the fields which you need. For a simple test, you can use every user account of the domain, but strongly recommend use a service account for daily tasks.

Hi FrediG, Welcome to the world of FNMS! You can find beacon logs in subdirectories under the C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Compliance\Logging directory on the beacon. Take a look through the various directories there, and look at the latest files (sort by timestamp) to get familiar with them. I would guess that you're likely to find an indication of what is going wrong here in the BeaconEngine log files. Chris @ Flexera
