I have a workflow with a few different steps/levels. On the first step, I have assigned a question template for the approver to fill out. The question asks if this request requires manager approval. On the next step which goes to the requester's manager, I have placed a question condition so that it will only be triggered if the previous approver answers 'Yes' to the manager approval question. This doesn't seem to be working as expected. The "manager" step is triggering regardless of whether the question is answered 'Yes' or 'No'. Basically, if the first approver says that manager approval is not required, then the last 2 steps should not be triggered and the request should be completed. If on the other hand they say manager approval is required, then it should go to the manager and then back to that team so that a software license can be purchased and assigned to the user. I've tried changing the "Target" on the question config from "Requestor" to "Approver" as that seems to make more sense, however when I do that the question does not show up in the list of available questions on the step condition tab for some reason. I have attached several screen shots showing the question configuration and step properties. Please let me know if I'm missing something, or if you have any ideas how I could get this to work.

Unfortunately we have an App Portal license, not App Broker, which apparently means I cannot access the REST endpoints. I read in another KB article that "customers can request a license to use the APIs at no additional cost", but according to the Feature Matrix it seems like we would be losing out on some pretty important features if we switched to App Broker. However, maybe this matrix is outdated, or maybe I'm just not understanding correctly, because I saw in the KB article replies where @CharlesW stated the following: "The only difference between App Broker and App Portal (besides the name) is that the REST API is exposed in App Broker.. Integrating with Remedy would require App Broker, since the REST API calls are used.. There should never be a need for you to have an App Portal license at this point. " Any suggestions on how I should proceed? Is it just a matter of applying an updated license file? Or would we have to completely reinstall the product? Should I open a ticket or contact our sales rep?

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using workflow groups for each step and each of those groups contain a unique AD group with the needed approvers as its members. After reading your "service account approver" suggestion, I tried adding an extra step in the middle which did work as expected, but I still need some way to auto-approve that step. I created a new command which runs a PowerShell script to invoke the "approveRequest" API web method and added it to the step as an external action. The script works, however it "overrides" all subsequent steps and approves the whole request. Is there some other way I can auto-approve a single step without approving the whole request? Thanks again for your response. Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

I have a workflow with multiple levels/steps. The process type is set to "Pool within level". The problem I'm having is that it will skip a step if the approver from the previous steps is also listed as an approver on the following step. When I check the request log, it will say something like "Removing 1c0f78f2564d774eb30af0ff7d15d780 from next group index 5 because its pool within group \ next level". Is there any way for me to work around this issue?

We recently migrated our SCCM environment and stood up a separate App Portal instance. We used a script to perform a bulk import of our existing catalog items, but some of them did not come over with the correct visibility settings. Most of our objects have visibility settings restricted by SCCM collection. However, one of those collections did not exist when we did the bulk import and this has lead to some of the packages not being visible to most users. Since we have 1K+ packages, I need some way to pull a report to show which ones have broken visibility so that we can correct them. There probably are not very many still out there, but I know there are some. I have found the WD_WebPackages table contains most of the data I'm looking for, however I cannot find where the visibility group collection names or IDs are stored in the DB. Any idea where the visibility collection names/IDs might be located?
