Hi, I had some issues after upgrading 2018 to sp1: - Check for Updates brings Update dialog with text: The product code is either not registered on the server or it is invalid. Contact the administrator of your FLEXnet Connect account. - InstallShield GUI: when i click between panes, like e.g. (left pane) Organization/Setup Design and (middle pane) Setup Design/ the previous selections background color (where the focus was) turns white and is hard to read because the text color is also white. Before upgrading to sp1 it was gray as before. - after building and trying to Test user Interface or Run release with my development machine brings a virus alert from Symantec Endpoint Protection and it quarantines file that IS tries to execute and requires reboot for pc Is there anything i can do to fix these? Hi Josh, unfortunately we didn't find those registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes. Under HKLM were some, but not under HKCU. Pete

Hi, we have a problem with installing a new InstallShield version (2016). My associate tried to install new version of InstallShield from package InstallShield2016PremierComp.exe, but it won’t install. When doubleclicking the file it tries to extract it or something, but after couple of seconds it just stops and nothing happens. I installed from same file successfully so it is not corrupted. Am i missing something or is this a bug in Suite when primary package is InstallScript MSI Project? This behaviour is very easy to reproduce: Create an InstallScript MSI setup package (with any contents) and build it. Create a new Suite project, add one feature and add a New executable package (.exe). (Use your just created setup - of course) Create a detection condition for a package. Build suite and install it. After installation, run suite again to enter maintenance mode and select e.g. Repair. No errors, setup starts normally with Maintenance mode and setup can be Modified, Repaired or Removed normally. (No silent modes used in this example.) BUT, if you select from Releases view: Setup.exe tab/Cache Packages Locally = No, (Default is Yes) Build suite again and install it (be sure to uninstall previous version first) Then run suite again to enter maintenance mode - when selecting e.g. Repair - suite dialog starts by saying: Repairing package xxxx and an InstallShield Wizard error message box appears saying: "Another instance of this setup is already running. Please wait...." Any help is appreciated -P-

Error message: "Another instance of this setup is already running. Please wait for the other instance to finish and then try again." - is always shown when trying to Modify, Repair or Remove suite project where Cache Packages Locally- setting is set as No in Releases/Setup.exe- view. No errors if this setting is set to Yes. Is there any solutions for this?
