There is quite a bit of spend-related data that can be managed and reported on throughout various Flexera One capabilities. Here are some specific areas to look at:
Technology Spend is a dashboard that shows how much your organization is spending on Information Technology cloud, SaaS, and software components. See Getting Started with Technology Spend.
The Microsoft Vendor Workspace provides an overall view of the spend for Microsoft licenses (on-premise and SaaS), hardware, and Azure cloud. This workspace also displays your organization’s Microsoft contracts due for renewal and due to expire to help with contract negotiations and budget planning. See Microsoft Vendor Workspace and Getting Started with Microsoft Vendor Workspace.
Within Flexera One IT Asset Management you can create and report on purchase records to track individual purchases with your various vendors. See Managing Hardware and Software Procurement.
Within Flexera One Cloud Cost Optimization you can manage and report on spend with major cloud vendors such as Azure and AWS. See Getting Started with Cloud Cost Optimization.

@dparab27 - You can open up the XML with the stand-alone Business Adapter Studio or with the Business Adapter built into the Beacon.
Edit the connection string, test it, and then save your changes and the XML will get updated.

The following page is a helpful guide to how to install the beacon component: Installing an Inventory Beacon. (This link goes to the beacon installatoin details for FlexNet Net Mangaer Suite Cloud - but the steps are pretty much the same for On-premises deployments.)

It sounds like you may need to remove the license from ImportedSoftwareLicense as well.

@dparab27 - you would use regular Microsoft IIS management interfaces to configure a certificate on a beacon server. For example, select the server node in the IIS manager UI treeview and double-click the Server Certificates feature in the listview, which will give you an interface where you can import your certificate:
There are many resources on the Internet providing guidance for working with IIS; here are a couple of docs.microsoft.com pages that cover this type of area:

@dparab27 - At the present time, calculating Named User/Application User license consumption for Oracle Middleware Products is a combination of using Technology, People and Process.
Technology - FlexNet Manager is able to identify the servers where your Middleware products are installed and also take into account any product bundling rules. The Product Use Right libraries also know the correct "minimum user" rules to apply for each product. For example, a minimum of 10 users are required for each core.
People and Process - The ability to automatically capture the list of users with access to Middleware products is not something that is currently available within FlexNet Manager (or any other tool). However, Flexera continues to research this topic and does have some experimental technology, as John has stated. Therefore, you need to work with the System Administrators of your middleware products to get lists/counts of users with access to each middleware product. Once you have the total user count, you can go to the Consumption tab of the license within FlexNet Manager. There is a field called "Non-Inventoried Users". In this field, enter the total number of users that has been captured from your administrators or whatever process you have used to get this information.
Technology - During the next License Reconciliation, FlexNet Manager will look at the hardware attributes of all the servers where the middleware product is installed and then calculated the Minimum User rule. It will compare this to the number of Non-Inventoried Users and whichever number of greater will be used as the license consumption.
People and Process - Option 2 - You can use internal techniques that may be available to export the actual users with access to a Middleware Product via an Administrator Console or other method. Once you have this User List, you can import this list of users against the FlexNet Manager license with a Business Adapter. FlexNet Manager during a reconcile will count the number of users against the Minimum User calculation and use whichever number is higher.

@dparab27 - Since Exadata is just running the Oracle Linux OS, there would not be any difference in how the agent is installed on an Exadata appliance, vs a normal server running Oracle Linux, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux, or etc.......

The FlexNet Manager Agent appears as any other installed software application. You can see the versions installed in your environment on the Installed Software view, with some filtering on the application name.
You can also create a Custom Report with the Installations report object (filtering on the application name), to see all of the installs of the FlexNet Agent with the version, and details of the inventory device (Computer Name, Operating System, Make/Model, IP Address, Location, etc.)

You can run ndtrack -t machine from an administrative command prompt to collect the inventory (https://docs.flexera.com/fnms/EN/GatherFNInv/index.html#SysRef/FlexNetInventoryAgent/reference/FIA-CommandLine.html). You will also want to look at the tracker log (%temp%\ManageSoft\tracker.log when run manually and C:\Windows\Temp\ManageSoft\tracker.log when run by the system) to see if there were any issues collecting the inventory and uploading it to the beacon.

Hi, You should fill in the networkname in the beaconengine.config. This is the name which is communicated towards all the agents in the policy files. Open the file BeaconEngine.config on your Beacon Server with a text editor. This is typically located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Flexera Software\Inventory Beacon\DotNet\conf. Modify the networkName property to use the alias or IP (which by default will use the server's current hostname if networkName is blank). Once the change is saved, restart the FlexNet Beacon Engine service and IIS (if the beacon uses IIS for web service) in order for the change to take effect. Please note, the network name is available after a successful synchronization between beacon and App server Stefan

hi , Please check the source of inventory of the users you are referring to unknown and those might be from the inventory sources like Citrix /office 365 integrations and even if you delete the users sometimes they may get created overnight for the next sync with the inventory source. Update the user records with all the necessary fields as inventory sources may use email/sam account id/name for checking the user available else they will create a user named unknown. You can delete the users directly by selecting them and delete if they are manually created and have to do housekeeping on the sources like AD/HR systems first so that they have all the fields populated complete user details and this will help the system not to create unknown users. Regards, Winvarma.
