Hi @jjensen, appreciate your quick reply. I understand there should be a procedure or a function where I can use data from this table to execute said reports. Is there any further reading material on this?

Is there any way to access, execute and collect, through the SQL queries, resutls from reports created in webui - Report builder (custom or built in ones alike)? I failed to find a table responsible for this. I'm running on-prem 2019 R2, db used is MS SQL.

@kclausen thank you for confirming it is only achievable via SQL. Consumption tab isn't enough. I wanted to have a single report with all the users consuming the license regardless of the allocations, and all the applications they consume it with. Trying to join several different reports (indivdual installations + consumption tab) will be a waste of time every time I need to run the exercise. I will try to do it via SQL.

@kclausen did some further playing with this report. It only shows users that also have the local installation. I.e. it will not show users using only web version of the components. So it's incomplete.

Thank you, I didn't see this one. For whatever reason it works for every license I need except for the EMS, returns nothing even though there're users consuming it in the consumption tab.

Hello, we have O365 connector that created licenses for Visio Plans and allocated users. Some users use it both via web browser and locally installed. But there're also some local installations without the license allocation - I covered them by adding the regular application and now this is also counted into consumption - which is good. In the consumption tab they just show up as without any allocation - correctly. For some consumption I'm assigning exemptions. Now, if I were to list all users consuming this license, regardless of the allocation, I could go into the consumption tab and export it to excel. But I'd like to enrich it with more data hence I'd love to create a report in the report builder. But I seem to be unable to create a report that will list all users consuming a license and add allocation status on top of that. Apparently I can only create a report with all installations (which doesn't work for per user licenses) or all allocations (which won't include users that use the software but don't have it allocated via MS Portal). How to proceed?

It's not that uncommon for Suppliers to sell you SKUs seemingly targeted for different agreement / enterprise type / etc. - usually just to accommodate unusual requirement / custom contractual agreements between the parties as to the product. But maybe it's just a mistake on MS' part? Try to ask them!

@kclausen yes, I thought about it but thing is I couldn't find this ESU-related evidence nowhere in Flexera (unrecognized evidence / recognized evidence / applications). When I check evidence related to this specific device it only links back to Windows 7 itself. If it wasn't for me reviewing NDI files and looking for something else I would've never known there's something like that in the NDI. @mfranz thanks, I'll look into it.

Hi, while reviewing some NDI file I noticed there's recognized something like: <Hardware Class="SoftwareLicensingProduct" Name="Windows(R) 7, Client-ESU-Year1 add-on for Enterprise,Professional,EnterpriseN,ProfessionalN,Ultimate" Evidence="WMI"> (and Year2, Year3). However I failed to find any Applications anyhow related to Windows ESU. Is there / will there be an option to track consumption of Windows 7 / 2008 ESU in Flexera? Windows 7 ESU licenses are device based.

1) I understand there's no dedicated field for this but I'd rather not re-use fields that are in FNMS for a reason. Although they're hardly ever used for licensing-related activities FNMS as such is potentially used by other teams in the Organization where information stored in those fields might be needed. There should be an Employment status like "Robotics" or "Service account". 2) Since user can be only in a single Location, single Corporate Unit and a single Cost Center assigned and we might need to use them for other reasons I will not overwrite them with custom group for this purpose. I thought there's an option to pull users' AD groups into FNMS and that they're stored somewhere in the backend for further use. Since we're at this - I figure there's no option to link/relate multiple accounts of a single human user either? E.g. if I have a user with a personal account and administrative account?

Hi, we're looking for options to identify and distinguish service/rpa accounts from regular users and once having them identified configure automatic allocation/exemption. 1) Both service accounts and rpa accounts have their naming standard but if possible I'd rather have them identified basing on AD groups they're in. Alternatively basing on the lack of "some" group. Preferably the first one. How to approach it? 2) Once identified by Flexera, where to store the information on the user type? There's a field for user employment types but I couldn't find any flag for the ones above. 3) How to configure automatic license exemption/allocation for those types of accounts? BAS with some staging db? BR MrPotato

@mrichardson, that's why I thought Flexera should deliver a report out of the box where by default they'd put a limitation on the end-user as to what it can generate. E.g. like it is with a ApplicationInstallationDetail where you need to choose a publisher and then precisely choose product names. To some extent that would limit the number of results, right? I'm just throwing ideas here, I don't know if it's a good approach or not. Evidence tab in the application is a step in a good direction. @ChrisG, I'm trying not to relay on custom reports due to the no-maintenance policy. Like in a case where they would cause unexpected issues. But I might give it a go in a test environment - thanks.

Hi, I'm just testing this on the test environment. Looks promising. What I'm missing though is an option to create a report via Report Builder that would start from the Installations or Inventory Device -> Installations and include the evidence trigger. Otherwise for bigger lists of software you it is time consuming to provide those details individually for each and every device.
