@stephen_dulsthere is great report by @nrousseau1 to see which VMs are know by your vCenter connection and which of them are inventoried by FNMS (SCCM, Agent, ...). Hi @ll I noticed today that the step "Calculating NMAP range strings" on our beacons always takes about 30 minutes on average, which I consider to be very long and I wanted to hear your opinion about it. Discovery & Inventory Rule for vCenter Scan - Discovery.log - we've disabled the use of previously discovered devices, due to some issues - Maybe it's possible to tweak the Beacon registry with some additional NMAP commands to peed up this process

HI @winvarma I would recommend to stop the BatchProcessing Server and Scheduler in Windows Services. Use a provides FNMS stored procedure to remove the ComplianceConnection (source) and all linked objects from the FNMS database. 1. Identify the ComplianceConnection which is corrupted SELECT * FROM ComplianceConnection and note the ComplianceConnectionID 2. Remove the ComplianceConnection and all linked object with FNMS SP EXEC ComplianceConnectionDeleteForComplianceConnectionID <ID> This will remove all linked objects from the data base. A reconcile after this process is recommended to update your compliance. For more details feel free to take a look into the SP. 3. Re-Add the deleted connection Best, Dennis

I would like to add a small information to the detailed answer by @winvarma If your VMware servers (vSphere, ESX) is restricted not to answer to any PING (ICMP) request, the discovery and inventory task will fail. You can set the following options in the Registry on your Beacon to disable the requiremet to have a successfull discovery before running the inventory process HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ManageSoft Corp\ManageSoft\Common\\Discovery\CurrentVersion • DefaultPingSweepOptions -PS -sp • DefaultScanOptions -PS -sS -sU Best, Dennis

@DiannaBthere a few workarounds to solve this issue until you update to the lastest version. See this posting for more information - https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Forum/Last-download-of-packages-for-managed-devices-failed-Check-the/td-p/130090 Please check the Beacons status page for any errors and for more details the packageretriever.log on each affected beacon. We had this error 500 and created a short PowerShell script to reset the permissions by schedule every 5 minutes to solve the issue. BEst, Dennis

@weskus Did you already checked the IIS Failed Request Logging log file (setup to monitor error code 404) so identify where the agent would like to download the file? The known issue is rather characterized by an error 500 internal server error and wrong file permission. Best, Dennis

If possible, could you send us an excerpt from the tracker.log / upload.log of the agent - the part with the prioritization of the beacon is sufficient for me. I would like to understand why the beacon is still used as primary target outside the SecureZone. Each agent performs a number of prioritization algorithms (Best Ping Response, Closest ADSite Match). I would now expect that the agent would prefer the beacon within the zone, as it is "better" to reach. Greetings and thanks Dennis

Hello, the customer is currently using FNMS 2019 R2 in combination with ServiceNow. An update of the instance to Orlando is now planned. Currently FNMS 2019 R2 supports the following releases (Kingston, London, Madrid, New York). Is there any experience if the communication between FNMS and ServiceNow still works even with the older UpdateSet ( integration application). Thanks and regards, Dennis

@savin_shetty1 i can't tell you why this happens or why the beacon behaves this way. i have experienced it myself only 1-2 times until now and in other projects there was this error. The following workarounds helped me 1) Log on to the beacon with your service account and run the o365 setup again. this should use the service account as login 2) Run the beacon service with your service account and run the o365 setup again (If the service is running as SYSTEM) Best, Dennis

Hi @Devarajan sounds like this information is gathered by default without any "activation". Did you already checked any of your AzureVM NDIs as mentioned? "These two data points are then embedded within the normal .ndi inventory file as a pseudo-hardware WMI class called MGS_CloudMetadata." Second, did you check the FNMSCompliance DB and the table CloudServiceInstance" "After a full inventory import, these details are eventually saved in the CloudServiceInstance table in the compliance database ." At this point I'm not sure if the data is processed by Flexera and displayed in any UI or if you've to use a Custom Adapter to process the data ...

Hi @m2019sam I've created a licence too, with a purchase and the SKU you've used ... in our system this license will cover all the requested applications by default. Current Photoshop Version is: Photoshop 2020 (CC) Supported Downgrade: down to Photoshop CC (2014) Could you please try to add a second purchase order, same SKU but diffierent name and create another license with the unprocessed purchases "process wizard". This is what I did to get this result. Hi @m2019sam the downgrade rights depending on the SKU linked to the purchase order. If your SKU only supports downgrade to one version below, then Flexera implements this accordingly. An option can be to adjust the downgrade rights manually to allow more than 1 version (https://docs.flexera.com/FlexNetManagerSuite2019R2/EN/WebHelp/index.html#topics/LicProp-DowngradeRights.html ) The best thing to do is to take look at the corresponding license terms to see if and to what extent a downgrade is possible for the corresponding SKU. A manual adjustment will of course falsify the license compliance and does not reflect the exact usage rights. Could you please tell us the SKU you've used for your CC 2020 license Best, Dennis
