I'm not sure why, but for some reason InstallShield was pulling a prerequisite with different conditions during the build. I ended up upgrading to IS 2015 and I see the same issue. There should not be a reboot required for .net 4.5 installation. If I can install .net 4.5 by itself without a reboot requirement, then why would it be any different with a setup installer? ... View more

Assuming you are installing and repairing a .msi, you cannot change this command anyway. You're better off figuring out why elevation is required; for instance do you have a custom action that needs to be deferred in system context (so it can have elevated privileges) but is not? Fix that, and you won't have to change the behavior of the repair button. ... View more

Learned a few more things while testing some more. It appears like the WindowsInsaller DWORD key needs to be added. Also, The new registry entry that is created as a custom action will have to have the same name as the GUID that was used for the original entry. This will essentially overwrite the original entry and function as if it was created by the installer itself. ... View more
