Hello, We have a Visual Studio 2010 app and are building the Install .exe using InstallShield Spring 2012 Now we are moving to Visual Studio 2019. Upon conversion the *.isproj files would not convert. Is there a way to make Visual Studio 2010 work with InstallShield Spring 2012? Thanks, Stephen Simpson ELM Computer Systems Inc

Hello, We have Install Shield 2012 Spring Edition Our app is a Visual Studio 2010 .net app. We have about 1200 users. We are moving to VS 2019 Our product is a Windows desktop app. 1) I am guessing that we need to upgrade our Install Shield? 2) What is the product that would be the best direct replacement. Hi, We are running Installshield Spring 2012 - Premier Edition and have a msi project running from within VS2010 professional. This particular project has two features. Let's call them 'workstation' and 'Network Node'. The 'workstation' has a component called 'shortcuts' which does nothing but install a few shortcuts. The 'Network Node' does not have the component 'shortcuts'. The problem occurs when we select the 'Network Node' feature (Which is mutually exclusive from the 'Workstation' feature). In this case the shortcuts are installed anyway. There are other components which are only in the 'Network Node' feature which seem to install when expected. Any ideas as to why the shortcuts component, which is included only in a specfic feature is installed even if the other feature is selected. Thanks Stephen

The link within the prerequisit does not work. This link is http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=70848 It tries to download dotnetfx3_exe and then fails saying dotnetfx3_exe couldn't be downloaded. So how does one proceed? Stephen

Hello, We have InstallShield Premier Spring 2012 and some of the redistributables will not download. Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5 will download, but Microsoft.Net Framework 3.0 will Not download. I am running Windows 7, admin login and the program is running as administrator. Yet for the Microsoft.Net Framework 3.0 we get an error message: "The download failed; make sure you are running as Administrator, and tat your machine is connected to the Internet. Would you like to try again?" Ideas? Thank You Stephen Simpson
